Pre-order the Digitone II

Digitone II is a multi-timbral and polyphonic synthesizer, designed around a modular workflow. It offers 16 tracks, which can be utilized for any of its synthesis machines or MIDI, with 16 voices distributed across these chosen synthesis machines. Furthermore, it boasts an array of filters, an enhanced Elektron Sequencer, features that unlock playability, a robust note editor, and much more. The depth and grandeur of this synth are more extensive and impressive than one might initially imagine.

Digitone II provides four unique synthesis machines, each with its distinct sound and high tweak-ability. Explore Wavetone, a modern interpretation of the traditional 2-oscillator synthesizer, where you can transition between oscillator shapes, introduce phase distortion, and oscillator modulation, or precisely shape your noise. Elevate your sound to new heights with Swarmer, a super saw-based cluster offering extensive waveform control and the ability to create rich, complex textures. Delve into FM Tone, the original Digitone FM synthesis engine, known for its ability to manipulate sounds in various ways. Discover FM Drum, offering extensive flexibility and control for creating a wide range of percussive sounds, and surprisingly, melodic tones too.

This versatile instrument has modularity at its heart, teeming with modulation features. Its adaptable workflow, featuring interchangeable synthesis machines and a variety of filter choices, allows you to mold your soundscapes according to your creative vision.

The enhanced filters of Digitone II demonstrate the depth of possibilities. Experiment with Comb- and Comb+, or try Multi-mode, EQ, Lowpass 4, and Legacy LP/HP. The base width filter is now more adaptable than ever - position it before the other filter or at the end of the audio track chain. Enjoy the added benefit of a dedicated amplifier envelope for each voice, offering ADSR for enhanced control and clarity, or AHD to maximize percussive sounds. Utilize the three LFOs and their numerous destinations and controls to navigate your sounds into unpredictable yet inspiring realms.

You can find additional sound-enhancing features under the FX section. These include luxurious delay and reverb, shimmering or dissonant chorus effects, as well as severe bit reduction, sample rate reduction, and overdrive. These can be applied either before or after the filter, providing you with even more control over your sound.

The mixer page offers a master compressor, enabling side-chaining and other parameters, along with a master overdrive for additional distortion management. The Elektron sequencer, acting as the instrument's core, provides 128 steps filled with Parameter Lock capabilities, allowing each step to transport you into various realms. You can also record live tweaks as you modify sounds. Switch to Euclidean sequencer mode to generate rhythmic and melodic sequences influenced by mathematical principles, thereby opening new creative avenues.

Digitone II is equipped with numerous features to enhance performance and playability. Note edit offers extensive control over every note of your chord, including length, velocity, and micro-timing adjustments. Press the arpeggiator button to discover rhythmic and melodic ideas. A customizable modulation setup is available for aftertouch, pitch bend, mod wheel, velocity, and breath control, each with 4 assignable parameter destinations and independent depths. Connect an external MIDI controller for more hands-on manipulation.

The instrument comes preloaded with high-quality preset sounds and is ready to inspire or serve as a foundation for your custom creations. Save any collection of special sounds into a kit, storing all your tracks' sounds, synth parameters, modulation destinations, and more for quick and easy recall when starting the next track. Use Perform Kits to experiment with wild tweaks or try different kits from your ljudlab without overwriting your save state.

Control All provides comprehensive, simultaneous control over parameters, allowing you to adjust settings across all tracks or on individual ones. Four trig modes enable the 16 trig keys to perform various functions, such as adjusting velocity levels, changing retrig speeds, or selecting multiple preset sounds to record into a single track. Song Mode is also included, allowing you to effortlessly compile playlists of your patterns and adapt them as they play.
